Terms of Service
These Terms govern access to Alt+Native, account creation, product submissions, and use of the public catalogue.
Last updated: August 28, 2026
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding agreement to create an account. Provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.
2. What Alt+Native provides
Alt+Native is a Testamplify company and a discovery and community catalogue for technology products connected to Africa and its global communities. The service may include native and AI-assisted search, categories, comparisons, product pages, submissions, moderation, account tools, analytics, and support experiences. Features may change as the service develops.
3. Product submissions and authority
You may submit a product only when you are a founder, co-founder, employee, or authorized representative with permission to provide the submitted material. Information must be accurate, current, and not misleading. Do not submit confidential information, personal information you lack permission to share, or material that infringes another person's rights.
Submitting a product does not guarantee approval, publication, ranking, verification, or featured placement. We may request clarification, correct formatting, reject a submission, suspend a listing, or remove material to protect catalogue quality, users, legal rights, or the community.
By submitting public website, documentation, repository, marketplace, or status links, you authorize Alt+Native and its service provider Concierge to retrieve and analyze the publicly accessible material at those links for catalogue review. Do not provide passwords or private-access links. Automated findings are evidence for a human moderator and are not a certification, endorsement, or automatic decision.
4. Community inclusion and moderation
Community connection may be based on building, working, studying, participating, serving, or maintaining other meaningful ties to Africa and its global communities. Alt+Native does not use race, ethnicity, ancestry, appearance, surname, religion, or perceived identity as an eligibility score. Moderation may consider the factual context and supporting information a submitter provides.
5. Your content and our display license
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Alt+Native a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format, review, display, distribute, and promote submitted content as needed to operate and publicize the catalogue. This license ends when the content is removed from active and backup systems, except for limited records retained for legal, security, dispute, or moderation purposes.
You represent that you have the rights needed for product names, logos, screenshots, descriptions, links, and supporting materials. You may request reasonable corrections to an approved listing.
6. Catalogue information and third-party products
Listings may be provided by product representatives, public sources, community members, or Alt+Native editors. We work to improve accuracy but do not guarantee that descriptions, pricing, availability, integrations, claims, or comparisons are complete or current. Verify important information with the product provider before purchasing or relying on it.
Alt+Native does not operate or endorse every listed product. Third-party websites, products, payments, and services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices.
7. Acceptable use
You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. Do not interfere with the service, evade access controls or rate limits, scrape the service in a harmful manner, impersonate others, submit fraudulent listings, manipulate rankings, or use Alt+Native for unlawful activity.
8. Feedback and support
If you provide product feedback, you permit us to use it to improve Alt+Native without payment or attribution. Support and Concierge responses are informational and may be automated. Do not rely on them as legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.
9. Intellectual property
Alt+Native's software, visual design, branding, documentation, compilation, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Alt+Native or third-party materials to you.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service and request account deletion. We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access, submissions, or listings for security risks, unlawful conduct, repeated policy violations, misleading claims, infringement, abuse, or other material breaches. When practical, we may provide notice and an opportunity to clarify or correct the issue.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alt+Native is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, catalogue completeness, a particular search position, approval, traffic, adoption, revenue, or business results. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alt+Native and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, opportunities, goodwill, or data arising from use of the service. Our aggregate liability for a claim will not exceed the greater of amounts you paid Alt+Native for the affected service during the previous 12 months or US$100. This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law.
13. Changes and general terms
We may update the service and these Terms. Material changes apply prospectively from their stated date, and we will provide additional notice when required. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
