Alt+Native highlights products created by founders and teams with meaningful connections to Africa and its global communities. There is no racial or ethnic requirement.
Connection can take many forms
Connection may come through where you were raised, studied, worked, built your company, participated in startup ecosystems, served communities, or developed meaningful personal or professional ties.
- Share every structured community connection that applies
- Keep birthplace, current location, headquarters, founding location, and markets served factually separate
- If your connection does not fit a predefined category, choose “Other meaningful connection” and tell us your story
- Provide context moderators can reasonably understand and verify
We review submissions to protect the integrity of the community while remaining intentionally inclusive. We do not use race, ethnicity, ancestry, appearance, surname, religion, or nationality scoring as an eligibility test.
